Although not there in Person but A gallery of her photos and clips of movies she has featured in were displayed on oprah.

While the highlights of Genevieve’s Career were being displayed,Oprah winfrey who in the past has said harsh things about Nigeria deemed it fit to say and I quote “Genevieve makes about $6500 a film in a country where  the average family makes less than $400 a year(pause)That is big bucks”

NIGERIA-WHY I LOVE HER

nigeria

nigeria

Today the 1st of October 2009,Our great nation Nigeria turns 49.

Nigeria-Why I love Her.

According to research Nigeria is the happiest country on earth, yes i said on earth. You might have heard  a couple of bad things about Nigeria but I stand here to tell you today that the Nigeria that is showcased to the world is Unreal.Yes Nigeria has its highs and lows like every other country in the world, lets take america for instance, the parts of America showcased to the world are the best parts,if you go to the ghetto areas then you’ll see that the so called america that everyone shouts about isnt all that.Lets talk about England,Have you been to peckham???I need not say more…all im trying to say is that the same way no ones perfect,Nigeria too is not perfect but we are a developing country striving towards perfection.

Mouths of people like Oprah winfrey are quick to utter harsh words against Nigeria.I stand to be corrected but when has it ever been heard that Nigeria Bombed some other country, how many Gang bangs happen in Nigeria,How many kids have taken guns to school to shoot their mates,How many teenage stabbing cases have you heard about,How many fathers kill their family members, how many druggies do we have roaming about, how many teenage pregnancies do we have in Nigeria, how many drop outs do we have in Nigeria?now answer those same questions for america or U.K or any othe country in the world. How tell me how great our country is.

I’ll like to end by saying Nigeria is the best and most blessed country on earth whether you like it or not,we have no earth quakes tsunami or whatsoever,we have solid culture and morals,Yes we are not perfect but we are a country striving towards perfection and God willing we shall get there.

I am proudly Nigerian and I’ll forever stay true to my roots!

Arise, O compatriots,
Nigeria’s call obey
To serve our Fatherland
With love and strength and faith.
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain,
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.

GidiNoize Is Proudly Nigerian!

G.Y.E PRESENTS SONIA ‘LA-LA’ IRABOR- “I LIVE, BREATHE & AM MUSIC”

Sonia Irabor

Sonia Irabor

She realised she could carry a tune at the tender age of 5,Nine years down the line Sonia had her very first performance in front of a crowd of over a hundred people at Genevieve Magazine’s Pink Ball show, ever since then Sonia has performed at various shows  winning the hearts of many and even  moving some to tears with her voice.Sonia is a multi talented young lady as her talents range from not only singing but from writing to journalism as well.Sonia has interviewed a number of internationally known figure like Avant, Slim from 112 , Flo Anthony to mention but  a few.We at GidiNoize were priviledged to have an interview with this young lady.

GidiNoize Interviews Sonia ‘la-la’ irabor.

1. WHO IS SONIA IRABOR?
Young, aspiring singer/songwriter with a lot of optimism to keep me going: P

2. CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND (EDUCATIONAL, FAMILY)?
Grew up in a house of media personalities and entertainers. My dad and mum are pretty heavy in the media and entertainment industry. My mum is the editor in chief of Genevieve magazine and my dad is an ace broadcaster/advertiser best known for his television show Soni Irabor Live. My brother is into film and music too. So growing up was pretty exciting. Secondary School was Lagoon (URGH!) and then Greensprings (bang bang! lol)

3. WHEN DID YOU REALIZE MUSIC WAS YOUR CALLING AND WHAT GENRE ARE YOU INTO?
Hmm this happened in various stages to be honest. Aged 5, I realized, well my parents did, that I could hold a tune and that my voice had a lot of potential. I used to perform A Whole New World from Aladdin for all the guests that came round. But then when I was 9, heavily influenced by my brother, I thought I wanted to be a rapper! Lol. Complete with the name and everything- Lil Slim. Haha. So I was distracted more or less for a few years by my hip-hop aspirations until I got to Greensprings aged 14, and started performing. That’s when I knew for sure that that was ME!

My musical influences are way too diverse for me to be tied down to just one genre. However at the moment I’d describe the sound I’m working on as funk/pop/soul. My new single Mr. Swagger definitely has that old school funk vibe to it but then blended with that new school soul/pop feel too. I think it’s very me- retro but fun! There will be a lot of experimenting with different sounds though… but right now it’s all about that funk/pop/soul!

5. HOW DO YOU MANAGE YOUR STUDIES AND MUSICAL CAREER TOGETHER?
Well seeing as I’ve just started out in terms of my music it’s not as difficult because there aren’t that many commitments just yet. School most definitely is priority and I therefore base my shows and studio sessions around my timetable. But God willing when the demand gets higher I’d still be able to say that.

6. WE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE TAKEN PART IN SHOWS CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THEM?
My first huge show was actually for an event my mum first put together in 2004- The Pink Ball. It attracted the ”elite” Nigerian crowd and was therefore very nerve racking. I performed Morning Has Broken By Cat Stevens and then did a duet with the Nigerian singer Benita. I do mostly open mics and little shows here and there. But it’s the best feeling in the world to actually be able to demand such attention. I love it!!! My next performance is on the 25th of October at the One Mic II-The GOOD Soul Food Edition show. For more details check out the

fb page at:

http://www.facebook.com/search/?q=one+mic&init=quick#/event.php?eid=130857587978&ref=ss

7. WHAT HAS BEEN THE GREATEST MOMENT OF YOUR MUSICAL CAREER?
The greatest moment so far? Umm my career hasn’t actually spanned that long to have that great defining moment just yet however it’s the little things for me. The fact that I’ve moved someone to tears with my voice ( a grown ass man too ! lol), the fact that people acknowledge my talent and support me, the fact that I’m important enough to have doubting Thomas’s now! Lol. It’s a great feeling just knowing that people are paying attention…

8. OUTSIDE THE MUSIC SCENE WHO IS SONIA IRABOR?
Hmm outside the music scene I’m an aspiring media personality. I’m a writer for Genevieve Magazine. I’m in charge of the entertainment pages, a radio personality (The Urban Lounge back on very soon, join the group page: http://www.facebook.com/search/?q=one+mic&init=quick#/group.php?gid=52721537020&ref=ts) I’ve co presented with the likes of Dan Foster and Wana (Inspiration FM 92.3), Toolz (Beat FM, 99.9).

I’m also an aspiring journalist with a few interviews under my belt so far; Avant, Slim from 112, Jocelyn Taylor (Publisher of Uptown Magazine, America’s biggest Urban Magazine), Amy Hickens of Source Magazine (America’s most important hip hop journal), Chanj (upcoming R&B singer), Jacki Boyz (singers/songwriters; they wrote Sugar by Floridah and have written for a host of other musicians), Flo Anthony (she is THE MEDIA!!! She’s worked as one of Michael Jackson’s pr people, she’s a radio personality and also works for the insider US)… And a whole lot of other people. So yea I’m heavily involved in the media outside my music. A very busy little bee I am.

9. DO YOU INTEND GOING INTO MUSIC FULL TIME?
I do. God willing I’m able to balance everything I aspire to accomplish and music is definitely high up there so yes, I definitely do intend to follow it if God wills it.

10. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SINGERS IN THE NIGERIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY, WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO THE TABLE THAT OTHERS HAVEN’T?
I can bring meaning and soul and real GOOD music. The Nigerian scene is booming right now that’s for sure but it’s lacking the soul and funk and general je ne sais qua that it could have. I plan to hook it up with that. Hehe.

11. GROWING UP, WHO WERE YOUR MUSICAL INFLUENCES?
Wow! I hate this question! Lol. I was such a scatterbrain growing up so my musical influences were a bit too diverse. Lol. As I mentioned earlier I went through my wannabe rapper phase so aside from Aladdin and princess Jasmine when I was 5. lol. I started getting really into Nas, DMX, the Fugees and Tupac from the age of 9. Aaliyah was definitely a heavy influence as well. At the age of 13 I got into r&b proper, started listening to a lot of Maxwell and Lauryn Hill was the one at that point! Gosh I could stay listening to Miseducation for hours while ”pretend studying’’! Lol. But I was also heavily influenced by OUTKAST!!! Their music still inspires me to be honest. At 14, it was Whitney! Yea I was late with it but Whitney finally blew me away and I just wanted to sing like her- I still do :S Umm after that I had just brief moments where someone’s song or style of music would influence a certain song or genre but nothing too deep. Right now I’m really feeling Solange, Janelle Monae, still outkast!!! So yea you can see where this is headed! Lol. It’s the energy, the fearlessness and the creativity!

12. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE NIGERIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY IS LACKING AND CAN FILL THE VOID?
As I mentioned before the Nigerian music scene lacks a lot of soul. I am aware of a few artistes who are bringing that to the table. Where I’m different is that I’m more energetic soul! I want to bring that energy and excitement but through music with MEANING! There’s a lot of hip hop and no funk… Get me? 😀

13. DO YOU WRITE YOUR OWN SONGS?
Yesindeedy! 😉

14. WHATS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR SONGS?
At the risk of sounding oh so cheesy, any and everything! I’m inspired by what my idea of love is (nothing I’ve experienced but what I’ve imagined it to be), I’m inspired by my ideas ! I’m inspired by the fact that there’s a certain song playing in the background and it defines a certain mood. I’m inspired by it all.

15. IS THERE AN ALBUM OR MIX TAPE IN THE WORKS AND WHEN CAN WE EXPECT IT TO DROP?
There is a mix tape in the works right now. I plan for it to be out at the end of the year/beginning of the next! God willing. ‘The working title is By Soul And Not By Body but the more I say it or type it the more annoying it sounds/looks so that might have to change! Haha. But look out for that tho… and check out my fan page for new music and updates!

16. WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER UPCOMING ARTISTES?
Do you!!! Let ALL the criticism and praise fuel your dream. : P

17. ANY LAST WORDS FOR YOUR FANS?
Umm thank you to all those who support the dream. God bless.

Sonia’s songs can be heard on

G.Y.E Presents Folarin Falana(FALZ).

FALZ
FALZ

Our first feature on Gidi’s Young Enterprise Is Folarin Falana Aka FALZ who is a recording artiste.Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana took up Rap as a hobby towards the end of his secondary school education. Growing up listening to the likes of Nigerian legends Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Tribesmen, Plantashun Boiz and several other local and international big names, ‘Falz’ gradually unravelled his talent in music. He was initially particular about rap/hip-hop as opposed to anything else before he discovered his love for other genres of music. He wrote a few mediocre verses at first, just like any beginner would have, but as mediocrity has never been attached to his name, he soon blew many away with impressive rap performances. He performed to local audiences and quickly gained recognition far and wide while improving lyrically. His exceptionally unique style differs him from many other modern rappers while giving him the upper hand. Due to this uniqueness, he has not often been compared to other musicians.

GidiNoize’ Interview with FALZ

1. WHO IS FALZ?

My real name is Folarin Falana and I’m a potential Hip-hop superstar!

2. CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND (EDUCATIONAL/FAMILY)?

Educational: I grew up in Nigeria and after graduating from secondary school, I moved to England where I’m currently studying Law at the University of Reading. Yea I’m actually studying Law!.. Family: I’m the only son of Mr. Femi Falana, I have a beautiful mum and two lovely sisters

3. WHEN DID YOU REALIZE MUSIC WAS YOUR CALLING AND WHAT GENRE ARE YOU INTO?

I realised I had some sorta’ spark in me when I was in ss1 (year 10). That’s when I started writing rap verses! Obviously verses I wrote then, compared to what I write now, were not the most amazing but then it was great stuff! And I guess a lot has changed since then. My Genre is Hip-hop n’ RnB mainly.

4. WE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE TAKEN PART IN VARIOUS SHOWS CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THEM?

Yes indeed! I have been quite an active performer here in the U.K. I mostly perform at university events but I’ve done other shows which involved big Nigerian artists such as Naeto C and 9ice.

5. WHAT HAS BEEN THE GREATEST MOMENT OF YOUR MUSICAL CAREER?

Well, there’ve been a number of good times but I ‘ld say during my latest performance when I just felt the crowd was very much with me. It’s a very satisfying feeling as an Artist to see with your own eyes that you’re actually touching lives with your music! Great stuff.

6. OUTSIDE THE MUSIC SCENE WHO IS FALZ?

Outside the music scene he’s not Falz again he’s Folarin. Just a young man still studying and planning out a bright future for himself. A pretty cool dude as well.

7. WHERE DO YOU PICTURE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS?

In the next 5 years I see myself as a pretty successful Musician/ Hip-Hop superstar and a role model to many.

8. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF RAPPERS IN THE NIGERIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY, WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO THE TABLE THAT OTHERS HAVEN’T?

The Nigerian music industry keeps getting better everyday and you know to make it as a rapper it’s either you’re lyrically a force or you’re just simply a hit-maker! I personally believe I’ve got both these qualities and also the tendency to add that comic flavour to my music. This is what makes me unique.

9. GROWING UP, WHO WERE YOUR MUSICAL INFLUENCES?

Speaking of influences when I was growing up, we are talking Fela Anikulapo Kuti, we are talking Trybesmen, plantashun boiz! These people made music sweet and desirable. Internationally on the other hand, it’s always been more of the contemporary stuff, the Kanye Wests, the Lil Waynes, you know. Yea that’s the sorta’ stuff I listened to while growing up

10. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE NIGERIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY IS LACKING?

I think what the Nigerian music industry is lacking is international recognition. To be fair we probably produce the best stuff in Africa but as far as the whole world is concerned, we are local champions and I think we need and deserve some more recognition internationally.

11. WHAT’S THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR SONGS AND ‘SHAKARA’ IN PARTICULAR?

What I do when I write songs is just to try to appeal to everyone with my music and just rap about everyday things that we can all relate to. ‘Shakara’ showed the comic side of Falz and that’s basically what it was supposed to do. I just thought I’d produce something funny and enjoyable.

12. IS THERE AN ALBUM OR MIXTAPE IN THE WORKS AND WHEN CAN WE EXPECT IT TO DROP?

Right now I’m working on a mixtape which is titled ‘SHAKARA’! It’s going to be out and available for FREE download this December (2009) so Watch oUt! It’s definitely gonna be hott.

13. WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER UPCOMING ARTISTES?

Follow your dream. If music is really your passion and you think you have what it takes to be successful then go for it! But make sure there is something unique about you as a musician!

14. ANY LAST WORDS FOR YOUR FANS?

I LOVE YOU ALL! Thanks for supporting me right from the start! You guys are the original bahd guyss mehn. Keep supporting me and make sure u tell somebody about ‘Shakara’ The Mixtape! Its This December oh!

Interview With Femi Adeyinka

femi

1.  Can We get to know you better?

My name is Femi I spent my early years in Nigeria. At age 12 I moved to the US. I’m an R n B artiste with my eyes on the global market.

2.  When did you realize music was your calling and what genre of music are you into?

I discovered music in high school after which I joined a group 4th Coming.  We did a lot of work in the New England area in the US and after which I went solo. I sing great R n B music.

3.  You said you were previously a member of the group 4thComing, what happened to the group and what led you to make the decision to go solo?

4thComing was an amazing group at the time. I felt we had a common goal (music) just different paths. My family and friends encouraged me to continue on my own which was very different for me and yet so rewarding.

4.  Based on our findings, we noticed you have collaborated with huge artists like Cassidy and Pritty boy, How did that come about?

The right place at the right time that’s how.  I was at the studio finishing my session Pritty boy happens to record at the same studio he was getting ready for his session. He mentioned he had a track he wanted me to feature on, he played it and I wrote the hook on the spot. Cassidy heard it laced the track and the rest is history.

5.  In the Nigerian Music Industry, RnB is a fiercely competitive genre, what do you think you can bring to the table that other artists haven’t?

With due respect to all Nigerian Artistes, there has not been a consistent effort to internalize our music. What I bring is a lot of talents, a lot of flare and a determination to take my music into the international realm.

6.  Growing Up, who were your musical influences?

Soul legends like Steven Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Michael Jackson. Contemporary singers like New Edition, Usher, Black Street, JODECI and Joe.
7.  When did you decide it was time to come home?

I believe the world is a global market you need to have a home base and this has inspired me to come back home to my motherland Nigeria to build from base up.

8. What do you think the Nigerian Music Industry is missing and do you think you can fill up that void?

I believe the Nigeria market has come a long way. I feel the void that I can fill is taking the music and culture into the international realm.

9. What inspired ‘Ma Pa Mi’ and why did you choose Ego to feature on it?

Ma pa mi was not supposed to happen. It was my baby sister (Bunmi) that pushed me to record the song when I got to Nigeria. Ego was introduced to me by my Uncle (Gbenga Adeyinka 1st). I heard her sing and have so much respect for her vocally. To find out she was the lead singer to the great musician Lagbaja without no question she was the perfect piece of the puzzle.

10. Is there a mix tape or an album in the works and when can we expect it to drop?

I’m in the process of signing with probably Nigeria’s best music label who are in sync with my vision and by the first quarter of next year by God’s grace my album will drop

11. We at Gidilounge strongly believe you have something to offer to the Naija Music Scene and we feel this is just the beginning for you, what advice can you give upcoming artists like you?

Thank you for the kind and encouraging words.  My advice would be stay true, believe in yourself and put God first.  Stay off drugs and keep it moving.  Keep in mind Nigeria is big but the international scene is bigger.

12. Any last words for your fans?

I know a lot of you don’t me yet, for those who do thank you for you love and support and I won’t let you down.    To those who will in time get to know me I can’t wait for us to get to the top together.

BREAKING NEWS:Arthur Guinness Show:What really happened!

The question on every ones mind is WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?

Yesterday according to our sources, something happened between Psquare and 2face at the Arthur Guinness Show.A lot of rumours have been going around one of which involves International Artiste Sean Paul being a part of the whole drama.

According to one of our sources, The group P-square were said to have thrown their Mic at the audience after which they stormed off the stage because 2face who was meant to join them on stage refused to perform with them.

GidiNoize cannot confirm That this story is true as No press release has been given yet.

We will keep you Up to date on the Happenings.

Stay Tuned

As Promised,GidiNoize has done further research and This is what really Happened

According to the organizers (Guinness Nigeria), the concert was being telecasted via satellite to other parts of the world where the same concert was taking place. Nigeria’s TV cast was anchored by ex-beauty queen, Munachi Abii and former Big Brother Nigeria housemate, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

The concert which was slated to start for 5pm started a few minutes to 7pm as guests trooped in to witness the historical event. The crew captain of the concert was ace comedian, Bright Okpocha a.k.a ‘Basket Mouth’ who engaged the excited crowd through a hilarious interactive session that lasted for 51 minutes before he introduced the prolific, DJ Jimmy Jatt.

Jimmy kicked off with the lead single off the ‘Definition’ mixtape – “Stylee” and in his usual style steered the crowd with joints from the local and international scene and wheeled off at exactly 8:04pm. Basket Mouth returned on stage at 8:05pm to introduce the first performance of the night – the most incredible – M.I.

M.I stepped out looking conspicuous in his dark shades, white long sleeve jacket on blue jean as fans cheered in a manner that spelt acceptance. He was ‘armed’ with a life band to be on the “Safe” side as the crowd rapped along completing his lines at every opportunity. Noticing the restiveness of the crowd, he changed to his “Short Black Boy” – mode but hey – he didn’t escape cos the ladies noticed him and screamed “Hi”. He took “Fast Money, Fast Cars” but probably didn’t know that the field was full of ‘Bigz girlz’. At exactly 8:12pm, he had to call for back-up and you know the ‘usual suspects’ – Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz of cos to “Blaze” up the place. M.I paused at 8:17pm to request a massive “Happy Birthday” shout out to his mum whose birthday was on the same day. To warm up the crowd, he rendered a few lines from “Murder She Wrote” by Chakka Demus and Pliars and “All Night Long” by W4 before he introduced Pype (the 7 star general) for “Teaser”. And as the crowd would try to take over his shine, he screams – “Anoti” at 8:28pm, to close a performance that makes him worthy of the title – unbeatable.

Basket’ returned on stage, to direct all eyes to the screen where Estelle was performing “Come Over” and “Pretty Please” live in Dublin. At 8:39pm Wande Coal came up with Dr. SID and K-Switch to set the ball rolling with “Jeun Soke” while The Prince joined them at 8:43 to perform “Ten Ten”. And before the crowd could catch their breath, he compelled them to follow “Bumper to Bumper” and everybody obeyed as he took a bow.

Basket returned directing everybody to connect to Brooklyn as Natalie Imbruglia performed “Scars” and “My God”.

At 9:08pm, Mo Hits Hype-man, Special Ed was given the honour to introduce the self acclaimed “African Michael Jackson” – D’banj and the crowd welcomed him with a raging cheer. He was dressed in fitted black suit with a touch of red and behind him were Don Jazzy, Wande Coal, SID, The Prince and K-Switch. First, he reminded everyone that he is still hot – “Feli Feli” and then “Kimon” as everybody joined to sing “Olorun Maje” and hailed the “Igwe” a.k.a “Osina nwata buru Ogaranya 1 of Igbo land”. With all the pretty ‘kokolets’ on ground, anybody could have “Fallen in Love” and for those that were not sure of who to love, Wande hooks up to do “You Bad”. Ikechukwu joined the crew later as they “Suddenly” rounded off their session. But as the Mo Hits crew was leaving the stage, Basket pulled back D’banj to join him to raise a glass to Arthur. The ‘Entertainer’ in return requested for two ‘kokolets’ who flagged him to perform the ritual that was simultaneously followed by massive fireworks and loud cheers from the audience.

At 9:32pm DJ Jimmy Jatt took over again before Basket returned to usher in the dynamic duo of Peter and Paul a.k.a P-Square. The twins were on point with energy as usual taking fans back to the remix and original versions of “Busy Body” and “I Love you” off their new album – Danger. At 9:58pm, words were whispered to them to leave the stage for a reason (unknown at that point in time). The info apparently stirred up aggression as Peter immediately said “I don’t know why, anytime a foreign artiste comes to Nigeria, they (show organizers) wanna treat us like slaves in our country”. They continued with “Roll It” but angrily stormed out of the stage saying, “We are leaving; they don’t want Tuface to come on stage”.

This action infuriated the eager crowd who were already tuned in to a performance that was meant to be a jump off! They started throwing empty cans of beer and plastic bottles at the stage as they protested chanting “Tuface” – “2-Baba”. Basket Mouth’s attempt to calm the restive crowd at 10pm was replied with several cans of stout and water. Ten minutes later, Jimmy Jatt stepped out with Basket, explaining that – “According to the production plan, the live broadcast was planned to have Sean Paul perform at the time PSquare was asked to leave. They needed to show the reggae star to the waiting viewers across the globe so as to balance the simultaneous transmission of the concert across specified countries” – Even with this explanation, the crowd proved that they had not ran out of empty cans as they threw more at them. Jimmy also tried to bring Tuface on stage to help calm the tension, but to no avail.

The stage was empty and the concert devoid of any activity for about 30 minutes before Jimmy turned up the speakers with Tuface’s “One Love” followed by Bob Marley’s “One Love” and continued with other mind captivating songs for over 30 minutes to ease the angry fans. This move was a step to the solution as Basket returned at 11:04pm to call back P-Square alongside Tuface.

The crowd screamed at the top of their voice as the twin returned with Tuface to perform “Possible” another song, off the ‘Danger’ album. After the collabo, Sound Sultan joined the trio at 11:11pm to perform “Enter The Place” with Tuface who then performed “One Love” to the loud response of the crowd. PSquare took over again apologizing for the mix up assuring peace and at the same time warning that a reoccurring incidence will only warrant “Danger – Wahala Dey” as Kaha and UK based, Alaye joined them to close their performance. On their way out, they introduced Sean Paul who came in at exactly 11:20pm amidst applauds and love from the (now happy) fans.

The floor of the Kingston born, Jamaican star was opened by three very hot dancers that had enough ‘bottom power’ to calm the irate crowd – only if they could have garnered courage to step out during the “1-hour madness”. Full names – Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques, eventually appeared with his brother Jason “Jigzagula” Henriques and Fahrenheit performing “Blazing”, followed by “Gimme the Light”. He tried hard to connect to the crowd “Like Glue” and his persistence with “Baby Girl” and “So Fine” off his recent album ‘Imperial Blaze’ impressed the ladies. His next rendition was “Still in Love” with his Nigerian fans and closed the curtain with “Get busy”. Not a bad performance but nothing compared to any of our local acts that appeared on that same stage last night. Basket Mouth dished out vote of thanks as the show came to an eventual end at exactly 12:24am
