News just reached us at GidiNoize that the owner of Globacom, Mike Adenuga would be flying in Beyonce Knowles for his daughter, Bella Adenuga’s wedding.
A few days ago, Media Take Out put up an article(which we put up on GidiNoize too) stating that singer, Beyonce Knowles is pregnant, it was also stated in the article that she will continue to work so this her coming to Nigeria thing for Bella’s wedding is very poss still.
Unfortunately the wedding which is a three day affair is in April so we at GidiNoize will not be able to attend(yh we’ve got connection like that) lol, however we will keep you updated on how the wedding went and put some pictures up soon.

1.WHO IS MOTI CAKES?
Moti Cakes is a devoted student to the art form of spitttin dope rhymes.
Surrounded by music since the tender age of 8, I would like to think of
myself as a sample of everything I love about rap music. I think I
approach the mic like a ballerina or bugs bunny, u kno? Just hopping on
the track and bouncing.
2.CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND(EDUCATIONAL,FAMILY)?
Growing up in lagos, I attended Greensprings school, this is were I
polished my skills lol, that was when I started performing at school
events. After high school I moved to Florida to finish my studies there
hooked up with guitarist Sam Kugz and I got into the undergrown miami
hip hop scene, performing at several parties and shows.
3.WHEN DID YOU REALIZE MUSIC WAS YOUR CALLING?
I can’t really pin point exactly when, but I would say, I always had a
love affair with the funk and excitement of performing and ripping
beats, I always got overwhelmed everytime I heaRd a dope rhyme like”did u
hear what buddy said?”.
4.WHAT GENRE ARE YOU INTO AND WHY?
Oh wow, I am soo hip hop baby,my first obsession was with east coast
hard core rap thanks to influences from biggie, jay and nas, then I
later re fell in love with the old school true school sounds of a tribe
called quest and de la soul.
6.BEING A YOUNG ARTISTE COMES WITH A LOT OF CRITICISM AND DISAPPROVAL
ESPECIALLY FROM PARENTS ,HOW DO YOU COPE WITH THAT?
Actually, I’ve never really had that problem, my parents have always
been aware of my love for music and agenda, and they have been really
supportive of my dreams, and goals.
8.WHAT HAS BEEN THE GREATEST MOMENT OF YOUR MUSICAL CAREER?
Well, I wouldn’t say I’ve had a greatest moment yet, am still fresh out
the oven, but in December of 09′ I was in Port Harcourt in a studio
working on a song and to cut the long story short, Timaya heard me spit
on a track and he featured me on one his songs for his Dem Mama Soljas
album that same day, we then exchanged contacts and we met up in Lagos
4 days later to work on another song for his album, so yeah that was
pretty cool.
9.OUTSIDE THE MUSIC SCENE WHO IS MOTI CAKES?
Outside music, am really all about SB chillin, rollin up and vibin, Am
all about my manchester united, am all about fly kicks(I love shoes), am
still all about good music all day. I don’t like flying, so going back
to gidi in christmas is always a scary movie, but I am still one of the
flyest indeed lol

11.APART FROM MUSIC DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER AREAS OF INTEREST?
Music has always been my main thing, but on the side I like to collect
sneakers, I admire the story each one tells lol. I used to play
football, now just on xbox, but I support my old trafford man u boys to
the casket.
12.DO YOU INTEND ON GOING INTO MUSIC FULL TIME?
Yes I intend to make my mark in the industry.
13.WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS?
In 10 years I would hope to have maybe 3 classic albums under my belt
and get on my diddy and russel hustle and start plotting a take over of
the naija music industry lol.

INDUSTRY,WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT?
Good question, out of everybody that’s out right now, I feel am one of
the few who actually acknowledge that they are students of the genre, u
feel me? I feel like my style and swag represents a lot of the good old
vibe hip hop once had, people tell me one of my greater advantages is
that I am really versatile and my delivery is very unique, but I just
thing ikno how to rock a beat well, its the simple things that count.
15. GROWING UP,WHO WERE YOUR MUSICAL INFLUENCES?
R.I.P, B.I.G, I loved the big poppa flow it was so ahead of his time, I
listen to a lot of 90′s hip hop, I try to get inspiration right from the
source so as to not be too influenced with the music of more present
times if u dig what I am saying?
Am all about my Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Biggie, Early Nas n Jay,
Method Man and Lauren Hill.
16. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE NIGERIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY IS LACKING AND CAN
FILL THE VOID?
In defense of the Naija music industry, in the last couple of years it
has come a long way from what it used to be, so mad props to all the big
names in the industry right now that made that happen, with that said,
the rap industry is still looking for that act who’s gonna take the
music to the next level, a lot of artist out now are kind of corny,
because they tend to try and copy other peoples styles rather than
present something original.
18. WHATS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR SONGS?
I tend to let the instrumental influence the direction I take on a
track, am not a gangsta rapper, I tend to focus on wordplay, metaphors
and floetry, I still drop knowledge too lol.
19. IS THERE AN ALBUM OR MIXTAPE IN THE WORKS AND WHEN CAN WE EXPECT IT
TO DROP?
Yes, Yes definitely, the “PepeSprayActivites” EP is in effect, coming
out March 2010, its an online release, it will be availiable for
download, about 8 tracks deep, every track sounds like a hit to me lol.
The idea was just to introduce my self to the people as something else,
am trying to feel the void and be that other vibe we need, D’banj is
hot, M.I is hot, but giv it a listen its somthing else, I dey tell u.
20. WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER UPCOMING ARTISTES?
Bros, don’t be afraid to be different, if not ur always gonna be under
someone elses shadow, swagga jacking is not coool.

How? To fill out thin lips or create fuller lips, first apply foundation to the lips and set with powder. Line outside the natural lip line using a lip pencil. A lip liner identical to your natural lip color will create a more natural, blended look. Fill in the rest of your lips with the pencil (if you like). This will help the lipstick last longer.
Next, using a lip brush, apply lip color within the new lip line created. Remember to avoid using a darker lip liner to line outside your natural line.

Through out my life, I can say I’ve attended well over 10 weddings and as each year has gone by, the quality of these weddings have increased.I do not know about guys but for we girls, we start fantasizing about our wedding days pretty early from the Wedding gown to the Brides Maids dresses and all that
I mentioned earlier that as each year goes by, the quality of weddings I attend keep increasing but theres one more thing thats been increasing too and it really scares me—> DIVORCE!!!!!!!!
Ive been thinking a lot about why this is so and a couple of things came to mind.I have witnessed the preparation of about 3 weddings, each of which started at least a year before the actual wedding; from picking out aso ebi to sending out invites to getting venues and all, I must say its pretty interesting planning weddings,I just might be a wedding planner you know, lol.Weddings in Nigeria have well over 2 parties,we’ve got The Introduction, The Engagement , Engagement Reception, Bachelors Eve, Hens Night, White wedding ,Wedding Reception then Thanksgiving and if you want to put the icing on the cake Thanksgiving Party .In my parentngagems time it was probably just 2 events; Eent and Wedding, finish! I do not know how and when all these little other events came in ( Thanksgiving party et al) but some how they did.
What exactly is a wedding?A wedding is basically an ushering into marriage, like the entrance of marriage but a lot of people fail to realize this simple fact.People spend years preparing for their wedding day and miss out the most important thing–>their MARRIAGE and I feel this is the reason why the rate of divorce has increased over the past few years.
The wedding day people spend years preparing for is really just a group of critics sitting down to eat your food and comment.These people wont go home with you & these people wont be there when there are problems so why spend years preparing to entertain them rather than preparing for your actual marriage?I personally feel MARRIAGE is a very big deal and people fail to realise that, at weddings I get really emotional, at times I’m close to tears, not because the wedding is beautiful or the food/ decoration is nice but because these two souls are making such a big/bold step.Marriage is for better for worse and thats scary to me. Our generation need to realise this ‘for better for worse’ thing, its not something you wake up one morning and say oh I’m tired and I want a divorce—> NOOO ,divorce should never be an option.
So please please and please if you are getting married just because you want to experience a wedding day, make your next birthday theme wedding or something and to all you soon to be wives/husbands spend time learning how to be a good wife/husband, a good mother/father and not how you’ll impress the invitees at your wedding because really and truly they’ll all leave and it would just be you and your spouse left.

Though it is barely a fortnight since the Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy was convicted of assaulting a nightclub attendant, she is rehabilitating her career in the grandiose fashion of our times. This week, as cameras turned, flashlights popped and the public relations operation swung into overdrive, the 20-year-old reflected on her drunken behaviour in January when she punched Sophie Amogbokpa in the toilets of the Drink nightclub in Guildford, Surrey.During chastened interviews with GMTV, BBC Radio Five Live and the Sun, Tweedy – who received a £3,000 fine and 120 hours’ community service – apologised to her fans, her family and the other members of Girls Aloud, a pop band created through a reality TV show.
She said sorry, it seems, to everyone except Mrs Amogbokpa – who has yet to receive an apology for an assault which put her in hospital with what doctors described as “significant damage” to her eye, leaving her unable to work for six weeks.
That omission may cost the singer from Newcastle dear. In her only media interview since the trial, Mrs Amogbokpa yesterday told the Guardian she had launched a civil action, seeking an apology and substantial damages.
She is being represented by Imran Khan, the solicitor who acted for the parents of Stephen Lawrence. Mr Khan said his client was acting reluctantly. “The only choice she has is to take this matter to the civil court so Ms Tweedy will finally acknowledge what she has done and the extent to which she has affected Mrs Amogbokpa’s life.”
Challenge
A legal letter outlining her claim was sent to the singer’s lawyers last night. Mrs Amogbokpa said she had decided to air her side of the story. “I want the world to see [Tweedy] the way she really is. She is attempting to carry on with her life and ignore what I went through. When I heard what she told the media, it was as if I was being assaulted all over again.”
During the trial at Kingston crown court, Tweedy was cleared of a charge of racially aggravated assault. She has since taken comfort in this verdict. But the new case will challenge that finding, as Mrs Amogbokpa will seek aggravated damages in the civil courts on the basis that the assault was racially motivated. Though the criminal trial jury rejected that claim, in the civil courts cases can be won “on the balance of probabilities” rather than “beyond legal doubt”, the criminal standard.
The criminal court was asked to decide whether Tweedy had referred to her victim as “a fucking black bitch”. Although the jury preferred the evidence of witnesses who said she had not, there were others who claimed that she had.
Mrs Amogbokpa said that, after the criminal trial, she had resolved to carry on with her life. She had obtained a law degree and her priority was to get a job with a solicitor’s firm. But when she saw Tweedy’s publicity blitz, she decided to act. “If she had just apologised, it would have been the end of the story,” she said.
“The judge said she had not shown any remorse, but she could have done it now. I wanted her to apologise to me as a person. The fact that she hasn’t just goes to show how much she feels I am just rubbish. She was able to apologise to her fans and her family and other people but not to me, the victim, who she caused so much stress and pain.”
She said that on the night of the attack she had given Tweedy an opportunity to apologise and that, if she had done so, the police might never have been involved.
Details of the assault were hotly contested in court. What was agreed was that Tweedy and fellow band member Nicola Roberts had gone to the toilets at the Drink. They disappeared into the same cubicle and Nicola emerged first. She asked to use some of the cosmetics on display and told Mrs Amogbokpa, who was working as a toilet attendant to pay her way through law college, that her friend would supply the required tip.
A disagreement about what happened when Tweedy emerged formed the crux of the case. Mrs Amogbokpa said the singer began grabbing the sweets she had on display. In her interview with the Guardian, she claimed: “I had been sitting on a stool. I got up, went over and told her, ‘You don’t take things like that’. The next thing was that she said: ‘My father owns this place you fucking black bitch. I can do whatever I want to do. I will deal with you’.”
Mrs Amogbokpa said the singer was clearly drunk. “I expected her to give me a tip. She became aggressive and violent towards me.”
A security guard was called and Mrs Amogbokpa said that as he sought to restrain Tweedy, she lunged forward with a heavy punch. “She came right through and punched me in the left eye. My vision blurred and the eye closed immediately.”
Tweedy told the court she had been accosted as she searched for money to pay for the sweets. She admitted hitting Mrs Amogbokpa, but said: “She hit me first”. Tweedy vehemently denied making any racist statement. Afterwards she said she was “thankful the jury accepted that this incident has nothing to do with race”.
Tweedy’s defence pointed out that Mrs Amogbokpa did not mention race in her first police interview. She said this was because the interview had taken place half an hour after the attack, when she was in hospital and not thinking clearly.
The time after the attack was also stressful for Mrs Amogbokpa. “I was trying to write my final papers but I couldn’t sit at the computer or read to do my research. I was in a lot of pain. I couldn’t do anything for myself. The people around me suffered.”
The ordeal has dragged on. Mrs Amogbokpa, 39, and her husband Julius have only recently returned to their home in south London because they have been besieged by journalists. Until now, they have chosen to remain silent, rebuffing offers of up to £10,000 from tabloid newspapers and invitations from broadcasters.
Mrs Amogbokpa, quietly spoken and a devout Christian, said she was acutely embarrassed by the publicity. “People look at me in the street and I can see them wondering, ‘Is it her?’ I deliberately cut my hair to look different. There have been calls from back home in Nigeria. I have had a lot of support from people I know and some I don’t. Some of the girls who go to the Drink have sent me cards and photos and money. One sent me a card with a psalm ‘When I am afraid I put my trust in God’. I was very moved.”
On Tuesday, Tweedy said she accepted her conviction and had already completed six hours of community service. She was keen to “put it all behind me and carry on”.
Mrs Amogbokpa says she would like to do the same, but feels she can’t. “I don’t hate her as a person. But I hate her behaviour and I find it very sad that she has not learned from her mistakes.”
